Synchronous and Compression are a pair of frame-mounted garment collages. Each work uses garments to visualize ways that emotions and situations are felt in the body. Feeling nervous, inspired, excited, or shameful can all illicit a somatic response (such as having “butterflies in your stomach”).

These works were installed at Tipton Gallery in January 2023 for a group show along with other works including Disarrangement/Self.
